Darla Dean Edgar

Darla Dean Edgar, 76, of Azle, Tx. passed away on January 12,2025 surrounded by her children Cassie, Jason, Jeff, her granddaughter Keegan and other loved ones. Darla was born in Ft Worth Tx. on January 27, 1948. She was one of six children of the late Don and Peggy Edgar.

There was never a dull moment with Darla. Her devotion to her church and the Lord, as well as spending quality time with her family and friends were always at the core of her life. One of Darla’s passions was decorating, design and event planning. For anyone who has seen her work with Christmas trees, or been to a party she has thrown, you know she put her heart and soul into every ribbon tied, bead glued, and flower touched. Darla also loved animals and enjoyed all of the many visitors she had on her property such as deer and birds. On any given night, you could find her cozied up with her favorite blanket, a glass of wine and a movie.

Darla is preceded in death by her parents Don and Peggy Edgar, grandson Jayse Walker Myatt and brother Paul Edgar.

She is survived by her children Cassie Myatt, Jason Myatt (Monica), Jeff Myatt (Brandee), grandchildren Jacob Myatt, Keegan Myatt, Jett Myatt and Zachary Cobb, brothers and sisters

Darwin Edgar (Becky), Denita Owen (Dwayne), Darrell Edgar (Theresa) and Karen King (Chris), several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended family and loved ones.
