

Darrell Lloyd of Watauga, Tx, passed away on May 1, 2020. He will always be remembered as a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on June 16, 1955 in Anderson, Indiana to Bulah Mae Lloyd and Glenn Hubbard Lloyd. He graduated from Madison Heights High School. Darrell worked at General Motors in Indiana before he was relocated to the GM plant in Arlington, Tx in 1984. He met his loving wife Mary Lloyd in 1993 while working at General Motors. He retired from GM after 30 years of service. Darrell enjoyed life to fullest and he loved to go on fishing trips with his family, play his guitar with his sons and serenade his wife. He loved to travel. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan. Darrell was always welcoming and made sure everyone had a full plate and a drink in their hand. He was a gentle, kind soul who was quietly strong and patient. He was a great husband to his wife-the light of her life, a very loving brother and uncle, a great father to his children, and a wonderful Poppy to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all who had the opportunity to know him. He opened his arms out to his step kids and treated them as his own. He enjoyed wonderful weekends out by the pool and he was a great handyman around the house. Darrell always liked to stay busy and he was a role model everyone should follow. He was loved very much.
He is survived by loving wife of 25 years Mary Lloyd; his children, son Steven Lloyd and wife Autumn, son Alan Lloyd; stepson Dale Adcox and wife Angie, stepdaughter Missy Davis and husband Bryan. Grandchildren Miles Lloyd, Ella Lloyd, Ashlee Desrochers and husband Will, Jojo McDonald, Nate Adcox, Tori Kirkman, Kati Kirkman, Ian Kirkman, Aaron Kirkman and wife Brittany,. Great grandchildren Knox and Kora Kirkman. Sister Cindy Carter and husband Steven Carter, Brother Jeff Lloyd, Sister Tammy Craig. Nieces Casey M Huffman, Christina Carter, Taylor Craig. Nephews Clinton Huffman, Alexander Carter and wife Megan, Jeffery Lloyd, Caleb Lloyd. Great nieces Adeline Huffman, Monroe Huffman, Isabella Highsmith as well as many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Glenn Hubbard Lloyd and his mother Bulah Mae Lloyd.
