Deborah Ruth Browning – Lopez, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, walked in to the arms of Jesus, on September 23, 2024. Born in Gainesville, Texas, to Wanda and Jack Mann, Debbie’s journey began in a family filled with love. She spent her formative years in Haltom City, Texas, where she attended Browning Elementary, North Oaks Middle School, and proudly graduated from Haltom High School in 1971.
Debbie had a vibrant spirit and a zest for life that was evident in everything she did. She had a particular passion for jewelry; if there was a jewelry show in town, you could be sure to find her there. Her love for travel was insatiable, with the Bahamas holding a special place in her heart. She lived there for several years, where she enjoyed playing in a tennis league and cherished the time spent shelling with her two children, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Upon returning to Texas, Debbie made her home a warm and welcoming place, filled with the love she shared with family and friends. Her culinary skills were unmatched; she loved cooking for everyone during holidays and special occasions, and her meals were always a source of joy. If you were fortunate enough to know Debbie, you knew you would never leave her home hungry.
Beyond her love for cooking, Debbie had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, swimming, sewing, gambling at Winstar and tending to cattle with her dad on the family farm. However, her greatest passion was being a devoted mother and grandmother. She was her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader, never missing a soccer game, baseball game, recital, performance, or birthday celebration. Her love was deep and fierce, and her family was her greatest treasure.
Debbie is survived by her daughter, Brittany, and her husband, Eric; her son, Gregg; her beloved grandchildren, Blake, Makena, and Gage; her brother, Randy; and her father, Jack. She was preceded in death by her cherished mother, Wanda.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 2 PM to 4 PM at Bluebonnet Funeral Home, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034.
In remembering Debbie, let us celebrate her love, her spirit, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but will forever remain in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving a donation to Glioblastoma Foundation.
