My memories with Devyn have spent their time in disagreement and upset emotions, it is time I shared how truly great my friendship with her was. The good times will never outweigh the grief. Many of u may be wondering who I am. I have spent the majority of the past four years on a walk about with no access to electronics including phones and so I have only recently(2018) learned of her passing. Let me say that Devyn was my best and sometimes only true friend. She had her beautiful special personality, and often told me the difficult truth when others seemed far off and mischevious.  Thanks to her my life was not lived without love.  We both always agreed that the summer and fall of 2008 was the best time of our lives. We spent most of our days together during said time.  We fully enjoyed our youth through a seemingly odd meeting and love relationship. I had the utmost respect for her as a person and a woman.  How things might have turned out differently if I had not left college station often consumes my thought.  Devyn let me know that she had also fallen in love me at first sight through her actions daily. Due to her persistence I built up the courage to initiate contact. She was respectful and greatful for everything in her life. She talked with me through her good and bad times for years after my departure from the life I was living with her. She even made me an amazing mix tape of various artists and sent me the CD. Due to her creativity and love I found a whole new world of music and culture that I had never before known. She knew how to brighten any rainy day, put a smile on my face, and even empathize with my feelings. She changed my life forever. I have said much about me, not enough about her. However this is how I am feeling and I know it's because of her grace and life.   I wish I could bring her alive and show her how great she is.    Always being the lady and letting me make the choices, fully trusting me. Rest in peace Devyn.

We are all placed on this earth for a reason. I did not know you personally. I knew you through a classmate. The day of your death was the day I laid my mother to rest. That day the weather was nasty, but at the time of the committal service, God sent a calm not only for my mother and her immediate family at graveside but for your family as well at bedside.

Devyn, you're incredible in life and death and will be missed by everyone. You touched all our lives, even if it wasn't in person.  we will miss you forever.
