

Donald D. Fleming was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Don will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
He was the son of Russ and Anna Fleming.
Empathic and loyal, Don was committed to making his new family happy.
Don worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Don was blessed with two sons, Nick and Tim. Another blessing for Don was the gift of two grandchildren, Candice and Joshua.
Don enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Later in life he and his wife picked up scuba diving and took many trips all over the world. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Don found pleasure in sports. Don was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so. Tops on his list were the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
Don enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for him to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included taking yearly trips with his son to Arkansas.
Don retired from Lockheed Martin in 1993. Even in retirement, Don continued to stay in touch with his old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances. Don was active in his new community and felt fulfilled with the opportunities retirement offered him.
Don passed away on May 28, 2016 in Hurst, Texas. Don fought a brief battle with Lymphoma. He is survived by his son, Tim and wife, Connie; grandchildren, Candice and Joshua; and companion, Marcia Mardis. Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. Don was laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Don was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Don leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Donald D. Fleming.

Donald D. Fleming, 84, passed away at home Saturday, May 28, 2016, surrounded by his family after a brief battle with lymphoma.
Donald was born May 29th, 1931, in Lawrence County, Illinois to Russ and Anna Fleming. He married Jane on December 9, 1954. Donald was an avid fisherman and took yearly trips with his son to Arkansas. Donald was a sports fan and loved watching Cowboys football and the Texas Rangers. Later in life, he and his wife picked up scuba diving and took many trips all over the world. Donald retired from Lockheed Martin in 1993.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Fleming, and son, Nick Fleming.
Survivors: Son, Tim and wife, Connie; grandchildren, Candice and Joshua; and companion, Marcia Mardis.
