Doris Delilah Tidwell Fox, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 5, 2014. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX. Graveside Service following: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2014 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.

Doris was born June 19, 1932, in Galveston, TX. She attended Richmond Union High School in Richmond, California. Doris met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Tidwell there in California and they were married on July 10, 1949. Doris and Bob moved to Texas in 1960. Doris furthered her education and graduated from Texas Wesleyan College in 1968. A faithful, inspiring leader and wife of a pastor, she had an innate ability to make everyone around her feel special. She held various professional positions ranging from interior design and decorator to a Dallas Trade Center showroom manager. Doris radiated warmth, possessed strength of character, lived her life with integrity, and valued sincerity and personal relationships. Doris' family and friends will remember her contagious smile, charm, quick wit, generous spirit, and her sweet personality while hosting all who visited her home. Doris had an obsession for detail, and relished in delight, decorating her home and making it beautiful. The pleasure she received from serving others and bestowing gifts, treasures, and kindness to her loved ones was salve for her soul. Doris' career was not her only source of pride. She cherished her family, especially her beloved husband of 38 years, Bob, who preceded her in death. Doris was married to husband, Jim Fox, in 2001. Survivors: Sons, Robert Tidwell Jr. (Fort Worth, TX), Paul Tidwell Sr. and wife, Reba Yvonne Tidwell (Apache Junction, AZ), Orren Tidwell, I (Fort Worth, TX); Adopted Grandson, Orren Tidwell II (Miami, Florida), Grandson, Paul Jr.; Granddaughters, Dawn, Dana, Meghan, and Krysten; and 11 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her immediate family, Doris leaves behind her sisters, Joy (CA), Wanda (CA), Judy (AR), and a multitude of dear friends.
