

Doyle started out as a farmer and retired as the Vice President of Great Southwest Development Corporation.
He spent his retirement on his ranch in Sunset, Texas.
He could fix anything, loved to sing, and was known for his wit and sense of humor. He was generous and would give you the shirt off of his back and spent years supporting Birdville Baptist Church by mowing the lawn and maintaining the building.
Doyle was an excellent provider, dedicated father and loved his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Wooford and Nina Smith, his brothers Perry and James Smith.
Doyle is survived by his children, Rachel Teems and husband Mark, Jason Smith and wife Sharon, Troy Smith and wife Christina, Scotty Smith and wife Kristin, and Lindsay Duncan and husband Marc; grandchildren, Lucy, Max, Charlee, and Anslee Teems, Reed and Colby Smith, Christian, Addison and Jillian Smith, Taylor and Sophia Smith, and William Duncan; and his niece Rita and nephew Clarence Joe.

C. Doyle Smith, age 82, of Hurst, Texas. passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017. Doyle started out as a farmer and retired as the Vice President of Great Southwest Development Corporation.
