Elizabeth "Beth" Montgomery Moon, aged 78, passed away peacefully on Friday morning October 4th, 2024. She was born to Colonel and Sue Montgomery on June 21st, 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas. She married Jimmy Moon on September 29th, 1967. Jimmy and Beth spent 57 years together before she went to be with the Lord. They resided in Hurst, Texas. They had two sons: kelly Homes-Moon and Monty Moon, bringing forth 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Beth loved her family, and she loved her husband Jimmy with her whole heart. They were inseparable. Where one of them was, the other wasn't far. Beth was a competition chili cook and competed all over Texas with Jimmy right by her side. They made so many wonderful friends through this and were so blessed to have each one of them. You could say they were friends, but truly they were like family to her. She loved every one of them.
Beth loved her family so very much. It wasn't rare to hear her say that her two sons were her greatest accomplishment. It didn't matter where in the world she was, if she was with them, she was in her happy place. From being on the water in a sailboat to camping at a music festival. These were the times that she held very dear to her and made her heart smile. As grandchildren came it just got even better. And boy, how she loved the holidays. It was the time that everyone came together and the time that she got to spend with all. Christmas was her favorite. She loved the White Elephant Christmas'. These were always interesting at the Moon house. We were all family and loved each other but for that specific event, all bets were off. What special times and great memories!
There are so many great stories to tell. Beth had an exciting and adventurous life that was shared with so many people. She touched so many lives in so many ways. We can honestly say that Beth LIVED LIFE!
She is survived by her husband Jimmy, sister Robbie and her husband Jamie, son Monty and his wife Jennifer. Her grandchildren: Christopher and his wife Joey, Ashleigh and her husband Daniel, Robbie, Rebekah and her husband Josh, Dakota Moon, and Lauren Moon. Her great grandchildren: Aleczander, Autumn, Aniya, Tommy, Hailey, and Tyler as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
