Elmer was born January 15, 1935 in Red Oak Texas. He attended school in Carrollton, served in the Marine Corp Reserves, and made his home in Texas as a loving husband and father. He is missed by those who survive him: his wife of 64 years, Nancy, their three children and their spouses, Pam and Chris Trawick, Glenn and Carre Hanner, Wayne and Sheri Hanner, his grandchildren and great grandchildren Sean and his wife Alex, Cody, Casey, Lyndsey, April, Rohan, Abi, a brother Danny along with a host of extended family.
Elmer is preceded in death by his mother Lena Stanton, his father Jewell Elmer Hanner, and three siblings.
The visitation will be from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 14, 2018. The funeral service will be on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. Both services will be at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
