He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, friend, and sounding board for all that knew and loved him. He was born on December 29,1943 in Alice, Texas to Cecil and Carmen Williams. He grew up across Texas and attended high school in Abilene. Shortly thereafter, he joined the Airforce where he proudly served his country for 4 years.
David was married to his loving wife Sharon Williams of Velma, Oklahoma in 1974. They were married 47 years while living in Oklahoma City, and ultimately ended up in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex since 1990. He had a successful career in insurance, until he went on to test out his entrepreneurial pursuits, in the Oil and Gas industry. Being the serial entrepreneur that he was, in 1989 he started Odyssey OneSource with his sister Patricia Fry. David became an industry pioneer, who was instrumental in building out the Professional Employer Organization industry. He retired in 2011 to focus on his family and passion for cars. Anyone who has ever known him, will tell you that he loved his old cars, his family, friends, and his employees. Many will remember him as a legendary, kind hearted, and resilient businessman that loved helping people out. However, he will best be remembered as the guy wearing a Tommy Bahama shirt, telling jokes while chewing on a cigar, and showing pictures of his classic car collection.
