

Henry Buford Waller, Junior (“Hank”), 78, of Colleyville, Texas, passed away on September 15, 2023. He was born in Los Angeles, California on September 18, 1944.
Hank graduated from Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley, and received both his undergraduate and M.B.A. from the University of Southern California. He later earned a Masters in Business Management from the University of Dallas.
He was married to Frances Elizabeth Stoufer Waller (“Liz”) on April 6, 1966, with whom he shared two children, Henry Buford Waller, III (“Trip”), and Amanda Ruth Peoples (“Mandy”). After the death of Liz, he met the second love of his life, Kay Letitia Dodson, and married her on June 29, 1997. He was well loved by her family, including her children, Bruce Dodson, Sandra Smith and Lisa Pinzel.
Hank served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army in the First Logistical Command during the Vietnam War, stationed in Saigon. He returned to civilian life and began working for General Telephone and Electric, later to become Verizon. His career at GTE/Verizon spanned over 40 years. He was respected and appreciated by all who worked with him.
Hank loved baseball, which he played in high school, was fascinated by Egyptology and archeology, and loved Corvettes. He enjoyed helping others, and took up golfing with his close friends in his retirement. He was an avid reader, loved walking, and mornings spent with Kay watching the birds in the backyard as they drank their coffee. His grandson, Miles, lit up his later years and provided two opportunities to return to Disneyland, where he created many special memories.
Hank is survived by his wife, Kay, his son, Trip, and daughter, Mandy, his grandson, Miles, Bruce, Sandra, and Lisa.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. October 6, 2023 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034
