

He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, granddad, brother, uncle, friend, and colleague to all that knew and loved him. He was born on October 11, 1940, in Lubbock, Texas to Ollie and Luna Maude Bruton.
Gene grew up in Snyder, Texas. As a young man, he honorably served our country for 4 years in the U.S. Army. He had a fascinating career in banking, aviation, and was a legend in the fitness equipment industry. Gene met the love of his life, Karen, in 1981 and his love for her was immeasurable. The family and all who knew him will miss his love, friendship, leadership, and one-of-a-kind sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Karen Bruton of Colleyville, Texas, his children Tiffanie Reust, Robert Bruton, and Deborah Bruton; step-daughter Wendee Davis; his grandchildren Taylor Bruton, Tyler Bruton, Lauren Kelsey, and RJ Bruton; his sister, Patricia Stack and nephews Mike Stack, Robert Stack and Eddie Stack.
The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Home at 523 S. Main Street, Grapevine, Texas 76051.

All attendees are invited to a celebration of life reception at 211 W. Greenbriar Lane, Colleyville, Texas 76034 immediately following the service.
