Howard Earl Douglas, 90, of Colleyville passed away peacefully on Friday April 26, 2019 surrounded by his children. FUNERAL: 10AM Saturday at Woodland Heights Baptist Church. Visitation: 6 to 8 Friday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Colleyville.
Born October 14, 1928 in Quincy, OH. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Ruth Ridley for 46 years before she passed away in 1996. They had attended Bowling Green University and lived in Kansas City before moving to Fort Worth in 1957. He was a Boy Scout troop leader, member of Toastmaster and Optimist clubs. He had also been a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth Chancel choir.
Howard was married to Quin for 18 years before her passing in 2018. Together they enjoyed grandchildren events, traveling and being involved with their church family. He loved being a part of the Woodland Heights Baptist Church choir.
Howard is preceded in death by wife Ruth Douglas, wife Quintella Douglas, daughter-in-law Teresa Douglas, his parents William and Lillian Douglas, brothers Gene Douglas, Charles Douglas, Ralph Douglas, sisters Vivian Stabler and Vera Helmandollar.
He is survived by his children Craig and wife Susan Douglas of Round Rock, Dana and husband Gary Fulton of Graham, Lisa and husband David Pearson of Haltom City and Tod Douglas of McKinney; grandchildren John and wife Kaci Fulton, Lindsey and husband Darren Willig, James Pearson, Blake Douglas and Kelly Douglas; and 4 great grandchildren; stepchildren Carolyn and husband Damon Fickle of Bedford, Danny and wife Julie Howerton of Fort Worth, Kent and wife Rene Howerton of Bedford along with Quin’s 10 grandchildren Michelle and husband Gabriel Guess, Brandon and wife Jennifer Fickle, Amber and husband Jason Dix, Justin and wife Valerie Fickle, Colby and wife Emily Howerton, Neil and wife Brynn Howerton, Sean and wife Betsy Howerton, Jared and wife Carly Howerton, Kyle Howerton, Lauren Howerton and 17 great grandchildren.
