He will always be remembered as a man who put duty and loyalty to his family and country above all else. He was born in Brookside Kentucky on April 14, 1935. Jack received a BS in Mechanical Engineering then later, while in the Air Force, his Masters in Aeronautical Engineering from Oklahoma State. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1978. In his role as an engineer for the Air Force, he worked on several missile launches in both California and Florida. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Jack became a Chief Engineer to Thailand for the F-16 Program for Lockheed Martin.
Jack is survived by his wife, Patricia Kane, his three daughters: Gaye Kotrany, Kris Johnson and Stacy Kroeger and son-in-law, Chris Kroeger. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Jordan Kotrany, Chase Johnson, Sage Kroeger and Kysen Kroeger. Predeceased relatives include his mom, Maxine Griffin Kane, his father, Tom Kane, and his brother Tommy Ray Kane.
The family will hold a small family-only service on Tuesday, November 12th. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Thank you to all who have supported Jack and his family through the many years.
