

Harold was married to Linda Lowrie Colston, for 61 years. He was the proud father of three children: Kaylin Latimer, Kathy Marshall, and Tim Colston. His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A man of faith, Harold was a longtime member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Hurst, Texas. He also served in the Army National Guard and was called to active duty during the Cuban Bay of Pigs Crisis in 1961.
Professionally, Harold excelled as a milling machinist. He worked at LTV for 12 years, contributing to the original Space Shuttle program. In 1985 he began working at Bell Helicopter and retired in 2003 after working on the V-22 Osprey helicopter. His career reflected his love for mathematics and mechanics.
In his personal time, Harold enjoyed gardening and exercising his creative side with woodworking.
Harold will be missed by his family, friends, and those who had the privilege to know him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chelsey and Addie Colston, brothers, JW and Raymond Colston, sister Pearl Colston, and son in law David Marshall.

In lieu of flowers Harold’s family is asking for donations to be made in his name to either the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) or The Tunnels to Towers Foundation (t2t.org).
