Mrs. Janis Eileen Morrow-Smith

Janis Eileen Morrow-Smith, 85 years young, of Fort Worth Texas passed away on May 04, 2023. She was born In Fort Worth Texas on September 25, 1937, to William Francis Morrow and Evelyn Alene White-Morrow. She graduated from Amon Carter Riverside High School in1955.

She was married to her first love in 1955 to Cecil R Earwood where they had three children, Shari Lin Earwood-Kennington, Cecil R Earwood II (Randy), and Byron Leslie Keith Earwood. Her second marriage was to Lloyd B. Smith with two loving stepchildren Heath and Angie and her final marriage was to Ronald L. Smith a long-time friend of the Morrow family.

She had a career in the collections industry where she was an exemplary employee as a Legal Coordinator, Bad Debt Collector, and Advanced Collector for Montgomery Wards and Walco. She was active in her church leading the singing and service for the hearing impaired and was a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, and Soloist.

She is preceded in death by her parents William Francis Morrow and Evelyn Alene White – Morrow, brothers William Francis Morrow Jr. and Charles Roger Morrow, husbands Cecil R Earwood, and Ronald L Smith.

She is survived by her daughter Shari Lin Earwood-Kennington and husband Jimmy A Kennington of Fort Worth, son Cecil R Earwood II "Randy" and wife Michiko Michelle Messier-Earwood of Stephenville, and son Byron Leslie Keith Earwood of Colorado. She was also survived by 6 Grandchildren David Earwood, Clayton Smith, Jennifer Earwood-Hayes, Phillip Earwood, Stephanie Earwood-Fukuda, Grayson Earwood, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements will be at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville Texas 76034, Saturday May 13, 2023, at 11:00 am with a viewing set at 10:00 am.

Services will be officiated by Rev Doug Ellis from the Gospel Light Baptist Church of Roanoke Texas.
