

A devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, Jay is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Mary Moheit; his daughter, Samantha Perkins; and his cherished grandchildren, Skylar and Cade Perkins. His family was the center of his world, and his love for them was evident in every part of his life.
Jay served his country with honor and distinction as a United States Air Force pilot for over two decades. A veteran of Operation Desert Storm, he earned multiple commendations including the Distinguished Flying Cross, a testament to his bravery, leadership, and unwavering commitment to service. Those who knew him admired not only his accomplishments, but also his humility and quiet strength.
After retiring from the Air Force, Jay continued to inspire others through mentorship and community involvement. He was known for his quick wit, kind heart, and the way his eyes lit up when he spoke about his grandchildren.
He leaves behind a legacy of service, strength, and selflessness that will continue to live on through his family and all those who were fortunate to know him.
