Jerome Darling, of Bedford, TX, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in Bedford, TX. He will always be remembered as a loving father, friend, colleague, etc, to all that knew and loved him. He was born on August 15, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Hermine Amelia Schuster Darling and Barton Leroy Darling. Jerome was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Iva Jean Jordan Darling, his brother Barton Darling, and his sister Carol Furrey. He is survived by his brother George Darling and his four daughter’s and their spouses, Deborah and Michael Cashen, Bedford, TX, Leslie and Melvin Tatman, Murphy, NC, Lori and George Shiflet, West Manchester, OH, and Lisa and Scot Olsen of Boiling Springs, NC. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Per Jerome Darling’s request, there will be no services. Jerome is a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. Professionally he was an Industrial Engineer. His hobbies included wood working, renovating/redecorating homes. He loved his family and had a healthy passion for dogs.
