Joni was born, July 19, 1960, and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, where she was actively involved in Tremont Church of God. She met her late husband, Marcus Lamb, while he was preaching as an Evangelist at her church. They later married, and following God’s direction, the young couple planted the roots that would later grow into what is now Daystar Television Network, the largest and fasting growing Christian television network in the world.
Remembered for her unwavering surrender to God, deep compassion for people, and fearless commitment to truth, Joni Lamb leaves behind a legacy that reached nations with the Gospel and inspired countless people to give their lives to Christ. Known for standing boldly for what was right, she encouraged others to live courageously in their faith and fully surrender to God’s calling on their lives.
Under her leadership, Daystar saw exponential growth now reaching over 2.3 billion homes across the globe all while hosting her own television program Joni Table Talk and continuing to cohost the network’s flagship program Ministry Now alongside her children and husband, Dr. Doug Weiss. She also carried on Daystar’s long tradition of standing with and supporting the Nation of Israel.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Doug, her children and their spouses, Jonathan and Suzanna Lamb, Joshua and Rachel Brown, and Jonathan and Rebecca Weiss, as well as her 7 grandchildren and the countless Daystar friends and family around the world.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at Daystar.com/Tribute for the Lamb family.
