Mrs. Katherine S. Schultz

She was born on January 21, 1934 in Kerrville, Texas at home in a little red brick house to Charles and Mary (Lacks) Schwarz. Katherine graduated from Tivy high school in Kerrville Texas in 1952. She graduated from the University of Texas, Austin, in 1956, where she received a bachelor of fine arts degree with a major in radio/television communications. She was selected to be a member of the radio/TV honor Society based on academic standing and service in community.

Katherine married Glenwood Dean, Schultz in December 1956. They had two children, Brenda Kay and Ronald Glenn. They lived in Texas, Colorado, Illinois, and Virginia. She was active in children’s activities, PTA, Girl Scouts, women’s club, and church.

Katherine retired from Parkview high school, Sterling, VA, where she worked in the library media department in 1986 and moved to Bedford, TX.

Katherine is survived by husband Steven Warn, married 25 years; her son Ron Schultz and wife Mary from WPB, FL; grandson Garrett Schultz from WPB, FL; sister-in-law, Barbara Schultz; nieces: Lauri Anthony, Debbie Anderson, and Debbie Jones. Nephews: Chuck Schwarz, Russell Schultz and Allan Schultz. She is predeceased by her father Charles Schwarz, mother Mary Schwarz, Husband Glen, daughter Brenda, and grandsons Robert William and Ronald Wayne.

A visitation will take place at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034 on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 9am followed by a funeral service at 10am. The burial will ensue in the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, respectfully for family only.
