

Kathryn Lou Stewardson Watson was born into this world on March 23, 1932 in Santa Anna, Texas to loving parents George and Velma Stewardson. Kathryn rejoined her parents on October 18, 2016 and continues to worship her Heavenly Father in a higher realm. Her earthly family mourns her loss and rejoices at her glorious reward. Memorial Service will be 10:00 am Monday, October 24, 2016 at Haltom Road Baptist Church in Haltom City. Family visitation will be 2 to 5 pm Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Kathryn was raised in Coleman County Texas, daughter of a sheep rancher, and lived an idylic childhood with her one sibling, sister Jean McClellan, deceased. On August 4, 1951, Kathryn married the love of her life, Darwin Watson. Kathryn and Darwin lived most of their married life and raised their five children in Haltom City Texas. In order to prepare their children to go to college, Kathryn returned to school and earned her teaching certificate in 1970. She taught mostly 5th grade at Birdville Elementary School until she retired. Kathryn enjoyed, gardening, sewing, crafts, quilting and her grandchildren. Most of all she enjoyed her daily Bible study and prayer time with her Savior. Kathryn and Darwin are devoted members at Haltom Road Baptist Church and participated in a variety of positions with the Church. Upon retirement, Kathryn and Darwin joined Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders and spent the next 20 years of their lives Building for the Glory of God. They traveled and made many dear friends during this work. Those preceding Kathryn in death are her parents, George and Velma Stewardson, and her sister, Jean McClellan. We rejoice that this loving family is together again. Survivors: Husband of 65 years, Darwin T Watson. Sons, David Watson and wife Linda, and Jerry and wife Mitzie. Daughters, Patricia Bird and husband Eldon, Shirley Paroulek and husband John, Marsha Silva and husband Apollo. Kathryn enjoyed 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, to date. Kathryn also leaves a host of extended family and friends and we will all miss her dearly but rejoice that she is whole again.
