Mrs. Lafon Eager

Beloved wife, mother, Grannie Fon, sister, Aunt Fon, co-worker and friend.

Missing her dearly and her best friend and husband for 45 years Lonnie Eager; daughter Retta Gilley (Lee); grandchildren Jeff Jansen (LaChelle), Jennifer McKinney (Robert), JJ Jansen (Kelsey); brother Wayne Kirkpatrick, sister Karen Haas; great grandchildren Levi McKinney, A J Jansen, Conner Jansen, Collier Jansen and Nora Jansen. Her bonus Family, Lonnie Eager, Jr. (Kelli), Chuck Eager (Shari), Donna Coleman (John), Mike Eager (Kathleen) Tiffany Scott (Tim), Tyler Scott (Peyton), Baylor & Waylon Scott, Tucker, Trevor, Taralyn, Trulee, Tellan & Tessa Scott, Tiya Scott, Taylor Scott, Mason Hull, Daniel Madrid, Chuckie Eager, Nathan Coleman, Wyatt & Alexa Coleman, Kevin Coleman (Erin), Talon, Zane, Harper and Lena Coleman, Kylynn Bell and Jenna Bell. Six nieces and six nephews. Also surviving are cousins, The Castleberry School Group, fellow church members from North West Church of Christ, bridge players, co-workers and many friends.

Mrs. Eager was born in Gunter TX and moved to Fort Worth in 1952. A graduate of Tremble Tech High School and 2 years of college, she retired from Texas Department of Human Services as Supervisor for rest home eligibility. As a mother she was the best and all the neighborhood children were always welcome. Over the years several passions were dear to her heart which included golf, watching all sports and never missed a game during March Madness. She loved her home and to decorate for all seasons. A very fine Jewel in so many ways, when she made a friend, she made it for life. Heaven is now a little sweeter as we celebrate the memories which will last forever. Her legacy reflects “LOVE” and always remember: There is no such thing as spoiled children, they are loved or neglected. “Love You Bunches”

Lafon is preceded in death by parents, Foy & Dot Kirkpatrick; sister, Wanda Ferguson, and Bonus Family David Eager, Derick Coleman, Angel Bell, Talon Scott, Truman Scott and David Madrid.
