Larry Richard Augustus

Larry was born on January 11, 1945 to Jeanne and Alfred Augustus in Nunda, New York and later moved to Florida with his family. Larry met his wife, Felicity, while attending South Broward High School, from which he graduated in 1963. After high school, Larry attended the University of Florida, but soon realized he missed Felicity too much and moved back to south Florida to finish at Florida International University, earning a BBA in Management.

Larry and Felicity were married in 1965 and had 3 children, Richard, Julie and David. Larry’s career in business systems management took the family from Pembroke Pines, Florida to South Bend, Indiana and finally to Bedford, Texas while working for Associates Financial Services, Fidelity Trust Company and Citi Financial Services.

Larry had a servant’s heart and would always offer support and guidance to family, friends, and members of the community. He spent time volunteering for many organizations, including Meals on Wheels and many church committees.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Jeanne and Alfred Augustus, and his brothers, James Augustus and Gary Augustus. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Felicity Augustus, his children, Richard (Jennifer) Augustus, Julie (Kreg) Barrett, and David (Melanie) Augustus; his grandchildren, Andrew Augustus, Sarah Augustus, Kaylee Barrett, Lauren Barrett, Braden Barrett, Emily Augustus, Natalie Augustus, and Ella Augustus; and great-grandchildren, Kaden Pinckard and Adalyn Pinckard.

Services will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home on April 4 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer's Association.
