Lillian Faye Rodden

     Lillian Faye Sherrill Rodden of Arlington, Texas, passed away Friday February 2, 2018 in Arlington, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, friend, compassionate caregiver, devoted Christian.

Faye was born February 17, 1926 in Cooke County, Texas, the first child of Ernest E and Alma L Sherrill. Faye attended Flat Creek one room school before moving to Era school, graduating from Era High School in 1943. After graduating she lived in Dallas for 3 years. In 1942 she met John Rodden at a party. They married after he returned from the war in 1946. They were married for 56 years ending with his death in 2002.

Faye is survived by two daughters, Johnnie Nelson and Linda Moore and husband Tommy Moore of Arlington, five grandsons John Jobe(Michelle Lawhorn), James Jobe(Carima Jobe), Kenneth Norman (Pam Norman), Kyle Norman and Justin Jobe(Tannie Jobe) and two granddaughters Kelli McDonald(Heath McDonald), Amber Williams(Johnathan Williams). Four step-grandsons David Moore, Brian Moore(Christy Moore), Jeremy Moore(Danielle Lewis) and Scott Nelson(Ioney Nelson).

Great-grandchildren Lindsey Gordon, Lauren Forrest, Lelon Montgomery, Jesika Jobe, Jeorja Jobe, Ashleigh Norman, Hunter Bailey, Hannah Shepard, Tanner Jobe, Drew Trautman, Jaxson Jobe, Jace Jobe, Payton Norman, Riley Norman, Tatum Gardner, Witten Williams, Walker Williams, Ashley Lienweber, Tiffany Moore, Jackie Yeats, Hayden Moore, Jake Moore, Braden Williams, Averie Williams, Tyson Nelson, Sadie Nelson, Sage Nelson.

Great-great grandchildren Rinoa Gordan, Presley Gorden, Mark Forrest, Peighton Yeats and Aria Lienweber.

Four brothers Willie Sherrill, Dave Sherrill, Wesley Sherrill, Ronnie Sherrill and two sisters Tena Roberts and Louise Hartman, Two sisters-in-laws Ellen Sherrill and Laveda Sherrill. And many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband John Rodden, parents Ernest E and Alma L Sherrill, son-in-law Brad Nelson, nephews Dale Sherrill, Keith Roberts, nieces Cathy Hartman, Sandy Merrill, brothers-in-law Joe Roberts, Wayne Moss, sisters-in-law Margaret Moss, Anna Sherrill.

Visitation will be held Wednesday February 7, 2018, 6pm-8pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Colleyville, Texas. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am Thursday February 8, 2018 at Hillcrest Church of Christ, 1401 Hillcrest Dr., Arlington, Texas 76010
