Lovena L Kennedy

She retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety as a driver's license clerk and switchboard operator.

Lovena enjoyed her Red Hat ladies. She also loved going to the casinos with her sister-in-laws and girlfriends. She liked to go camping, baking, and looking at bluebonnets.

God saw you were getting tired

And a cure was not to be so.

He put his arms around you and whispered,

“Come with Me”

With tearful eyes we watched you

And saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly,

We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William Richard Kennedy; parents, Henry Ward Bruton and Lois Bruton; and brother, Henry Ward Bruton, Jr. She is survived by her son Rodney Kennedy, daughter Lisa G Fairchild and her husband Kenneth Fairchild; Granddaughters Brittany Fairchild and Courtney Fairchild; grandson Brandon Fairchild; and great grandkids Billie and Bailea Griffith. She will also be missed by her fur babies Paco and Presly.

Services for Lovena will be held Thursday, June 12th, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, TX 76034. Visitation at 1 PM and Graveside service at 2 PM.
