

Marjorie was born on May 12, 1936 in Forney, Texas, to Al and Mattie Smith. She grew up in Watauga along with her brother and sister. She attended and graduated from Haltom High School. Marjorie worked for General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin for many years before retiring. Marjorie was a long-time member of the Aurora Baptist Church.
Marjorie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Marjorie was a strong and loving role model to her 3 daughters, instilling the importance of hard work, family and faith to her children and grandchildren, always leading by example. Her world revolved around her family and friends. She always provided support and love for her family.
Marjorie was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched. She is now at peace with our Lord and Savior and free of pain and sickness. She will always be loved and missed.
Marjorie is survived by her brother Al (Sonny) Smith Jr.; daughters Brenda Cline, Pamela Helmick and husband James, Michele Branum and husband Perry; grandchildren Jason Cline and wife Jenelle, Chris Cline and wife Autumn, Brian Richardson and wife Amanda, Brad Richardson, Cody Branum, Taylor Kelsay and husband Tyler; great grandchildren Cash, Beau and Colt Cline, Jaydn and Jacey Cline, David and Jace Richardson, along with many nieces and nephews.
Marjorie is preceded in death by Al Smith Sr. (Father), Mattie Smith (Mother), Mary Delle Beck (Sister), Harold Cline, David Richardson and Tom Solomon (Son-in-laws), Mary Smith (Sister-in-law), Fred Beck (Brother-in-law) and Susan Dobson (Niece).
A visitation will be held at Bluebonnet Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas on May 12, 2023 from 10 am to 11 am. Service will start at 11 am. Service will be followed by a burial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Aurora Baptist Church or a charity of your choice in Marjorie Pate’s name.
