Marlaina May Anderson, 54, of Denton, Texas, passed away October 17, 2020 in Flower Mound, Texas. She will forever be remembered as a selfless, outgoing, and courageous woman. She was loved and cherished by all that crossed paths with her. Marlaina enjoyed the smaller things in life. Sunday family dinners, celebrating the small victories in life, and spending time with her loved ones.
Marlaina was born in Tawas City, Michigan to Junior Grezeszak and Sandra
Siden Watson on June 13, 1966. She graduated from Trinity High School in
Euless, Texas. She married Danny Anderson on 08/23/2019 in Flower Mound, Texas. She worked as an accountant for Nissan North America for nearly 30 years. Marlaina was involved in numerous organizations throughout her life. Prior to being diagnosed with cancer, she was active in Habitat for Humanity where she helped with building homes for those in need. She was part of Nissan's MAAD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) program, attending and fundraising for their walks annually. She helped to fund-raise and donate school supplies for underprivileged schools in the DFW area. Marlaina was part of the Race for the Cure even prior to knowing she had breast cancer herself. She was very invested emotionally as well as physically in Angels for Abby. In addition to being described as one of the greatest advocates, she continued in true Marlaina fashion to demonstrate her selflessness by asking their wedding gifts to be donated to Angels for Abby.
Marlaina is preceded in death by her mother Sandra Siden Watson, father Junior Grezeszak, Brother Daniel Grezeszak, niece Amanda Grezeszak, niece Alaina Grezeszak and nephew Leo Castle.
She is survived by husband Danny Anderson, daughter Kori and husband
Dusten Croft, son Kaleb and wife Caylee Croft, Brother Tom and wife Karen
Grezeszak, brother Tony and wife Marie Grezeszak, sister Kathy and husband John Hough; grandchildren Wrenley, Dustyn Jr and Jaden Croft, Jacob, Hannah and Jordan Rivas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends she was very fond of.
The viewing will be Thursday October 22, 2020 from 4:30 - 6:30pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas. We are allowed 15-20 visitors in the chapel at a time; for her viewing. Memorial services will be held at 12:30pm Friday October 23, 2020 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Due to chapel restrictions only 50 people are allowed to attend the service. Anyone wishing to do so, can log on virtually to be a part of the ceremony on Friday October 23, 2020 at 12:30. Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home will be streaming the service live on their Facebook page.
