Nancy Jane Crandall Langford

The eldest daughter of Clifford James and Patricia Ann Crandall, Nancy Jane (nee Crandall) Langford was born in Nyack, New York on August 30, 1959, and spent her formative years in the District of Columbia suburb of Annandale, Virginia along with three siblings, Craig, Clifford (Skip), and Kathleen. She graduated from Braddock Elementary School, Edgar Allen Poe Intermediate School and attended Annandale High School. In the summer of 1976, the Crandall family relocated to Picayune, Mississippi where Nancy Jane graduated from Picayune High School with a 4.0 GPA.

Nancy Jane enrolled at the University of Mississippi at Oxford in 1977 and received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1981. Her final year of studies was completed at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson during which time she interned at the Dallas Rehab Institute and later accepted a full time position with the company in the Summer of 1982. In 1984 she moved to Medical City Hospital as a physical therapist supervisor and completed course work for a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from North Texas State in 1987.

She met her future husband, Mark Edwin Langford, while attending Northway Baptist Church and they married on March 17, 1984. The couple resided in Bedford prior to relocating to Colleyville in 1990. They remain long-standing members of the Woodland Heights Baptist Church. After the birth of her two children, Alexandra and Matthew, Nancy Jane sought to spend more time with her family and accepted a position with the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District working with special needs children.

Although Nancy Jane’s mission was to serve her faith, family, and community, she also pursued a passion for ceramics, quilting, crafts, painting and baking. Her desserts were always delectable and her secret ingredient was love.

Throughout her life, Nancy Jane brought tremendous joy to countless people. Her faith in God and infectious smile are everlasting. She will be forever loved and missed by family and friends.
