Pat J. Blackmon

Pat Blackmon of Keller, TX., just a few months shy of her 90th birthday, was reunited with her husband, parents, and sisters on August 27, 2023. Pat was a feisty woman with a talent for making people laugh. She loved reading every mystery ever written, and she has many self-published books which contain snippets of her family that she treasured so very much. As a long-time resident of Keller, Pat worked as a banker who retired early making those around her green with envy. After her retirement, she enjoyed many activities around town where she socialized with her friends while also making thousands of the cutest stuffed bunnies you will ever see. She spent her final years as the reigning Queen Bee of the Beehive in Flower Mound where she participated in fun and leisure activities while also being treated like the queen she has always been. While Pat enjoyed spending time with friends, she loved her family time the most, and they will miss her giving heart and her love for cookies. Although her family is saddened by her passing, we know she is flying high above looking down at the garden green, writing poetry and dancing again.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Blackmon, her parents, Ben and Lucy Jones, and her sisters, Wynelle, Jane, and Catherine. Her family legacy includes three beautiful children, Patti Harris, Cathy Waugh, and Jerry Blackmon, her loving daughter-in-law, Kim Blackmon, and her favorite grandchildren and great grandchildren, Alyson Gerlach (Roger), Steven Huckabay, Lisa Lusk(Josh), Ryan Blackmon (Whitney), Reagan Blackmon, Jason Graham, Heather Graham, Brandon Gerlach, Courtney Gerlach, Camden Blackmon, and Beckham Blackmon as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones who will carry her love, generosity, and astounding wit for generations to come.

A funeral service for Pat will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. A committal service will occur Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, A reception will occur Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
