Patsy “Pat” Baker Beard passed away on November 29, 2016 surrounded by her family at her home. Funeral: 12:30p.m. Friday, December 2, 2016. Visitation: 5:00 - 8:00p.m. Thursday December 1, 2016 both services to be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Patsy was born on August 14, 1932 in Whitesboro, Texas to Sloan and Ida Baker. Patsy had a passion for reading, horse racing and traveling to Vegas. She enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys play. Patsy retired from Southwest Airlines after 18 years of dedicated service, and later drove a school bus for Grapevine ISD. Patsy was devoted to her family, but especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she never met a stranger and will be missed by many. Those preceding her in death: Parents, siblings Mary Thomas, Wayne Baker, Wallace Baker and grandson Christopher Atteberry. Survivors: beloved husband of 61 years Bobby “Jerry” Beard; daughters Jeri Lynn Burns and Janet Atteberry, husband Stanley; grandchildren Lindsay and Emily Burns, Christine and Cameron Atteberry; great-grandchildren Hayley McElhaney and Gabriel Aldaco.
