She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 17, 1942. Married to John R Mathison Sr. on May 19, 1962. She lived in Louisville Ky, and later moved to St. Louis Mo, Houston TX, Baton Rouge LA, finally settling in Bedford Texas in 1984.
Patsy was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Bedford TX. She had a passion for her family and friends, throwing parties, and of course the casinos. She was one of the luckiest gamblers you will ever meet. She never met a stranger in her life. She spoke to anyone who would listen to her. She could make you smile and embarrass you in a split second. Most of the time, you had no clue what was going to come out of her. When her kids would bring friends over, those friends became her Kids.
Patsy worked and retired from North Hills Hospital as the Medical Staff Director in Texas. She also worked for Irving Community Hospital, Irving TX and Children's Hospital, Dallas Texas as Medical Staff Director. Her job was a passion that no one could match. The doctors and co-workers she worked with became friends for life and supported her to the end. Her family deeply appreciates all the support, unconditional love, and prayers given to her.
Her true love was her husband, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. There was never a shortage of love in her life that she would not share with anyone. If you came into her house, you were made to feel as if it was your home. If you needed a pick-me-up, you knew you could call Patsy and she would do just that.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John R Mathison Sr., her parents, Paul Milton Capito & Mary Agnes (Cox) Capito, three siblings, Dorthy Capito, Billy Capito and Nancy Wilson. She is survived by her children: son: John R Mathison Jr., wife Tiffany, daughter: Teresa Barrett, husband Ronny, son: William (Bill) Mathison, wife Cheryl, bonus daughter: Margaret Bolden. Grandkids: John R Mathison III, Kailee (husband Thomas), Douglas, Sophia, Mallory (husband Andrew), Will, Alex, Dustin (wife Stevie).
