Rob was born in Oakland, CA and raised in San Diego by Howard Sr. and Amanda “Bonnie” Bonnett Madden. He was the youngest of four siblings, Howard Jr., Patricia, and Pamela. He received his business degree from University of San Diego in 1986 and worked in the insurance industry for the majority of his career. Rob helped raise and was the proud father of four children; his daughters, Mary and Kelly, and his sons, Sean and Scott. Eight years ago, Rob married one of his best friends and love of his life, Tiffany.
Rob had an amazing ability to connect with anyone to make people laugh. He was witty, silly, intelligent, and could bring out the best in people. He had a passion for surfing and loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. Whether he was barbecuing on the grill, cooking a gourmet meal in the kitchen with Tiffany, or going out dinner, there is no doubt that Rob loved good food and good times with the people he loved. He really embraced the Texas spirit after he and Tiffany moved to the Dallas area several years ago. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He never met a joke he didn’t want to tell a thousand times.
Rob was preceded in his death by his sister, Patricia, and his mother Amanda “Bonnie” Bonnett Madden. He is survived by his wife, Tiffany; his daughter Mary and future son-in-law Justin Hayward; his daughter Kelly and future son-in-law Bob Armstrong; his sons Sean and Scott; his father Howard Sr. and wife Claudia; his brother Howard Jr. and wife Linda; his sister Pamela Madden Campbell and husband Jeffrey; his step-brother Keith. Rob will be forever remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and countless friends.
An intimate service will be held on Saturday, June 20 at 12:30 PM that will be streamed live on the Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Facebook site. Due to restrictions caused by COVID-19, attendance at the service will be limited to those personally invited by the family.
