

Ron Lane, of Saginaw, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 30th in Saginaw. He will always be remembered as a loving father and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on July 14th in Alice, Texas to George O. Lane and Hilda Berry.
Ron served in the United States Army from 1961 – 1964 in which he received the US Army Outstanding Aircraft Maintenance Technician Award. He and Cynthia were married in September of 1965 and enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Ron opened his automotive business in 1970 which supported his family throughout the years.
Ron was a man of many interests and highly intelligent. He could take anything apart and put it back together (without having that left over screw). His first joy has always been racing which began with drag car racing and then continued into motorcycle racing for many years along with dirt track racing. Over the years he taught himself computer programming and gun-smithing.
Ron is survived by wife, Cynthia Lane of Saginaw; son, Dean and wife Kristi Lane of Colleyville, Texas; daughter, Evelyn Parkhurst of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Zachary and wife Graciela Lane of Carrollton, Texas; Cameron Lane of Colleyville, Texas; Kadryn Parkhurst of Arlington, Texas; sisters, Catherine and husband Jack Manchack of Houston, Texas; Joyce Lane of Houston, Texas; Murray Landrum of Canton, Texas; brothers, Sony and wife Connie Lane of North Richland Hills, Texas; Johnny Lane of San Angelo, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Hilda Berry and father George Oliver and his wife Francis Lane.
The visitation will be held from 10:30am – 12:00 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, September 4th at the Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be held at 12 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, September 4th at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
