Shirley Ann (Barber) Fink was born September 24, 1939 to Clarence and Beatrice Barber in Escanaba Michigan. Shirley met Richard Fink while in high school where it was love at first sight. Shirley was a Data Punch Operator for Delta Airlines while Richard joined the Air force taking them Oklahoma, Texas and California then back to Texas where they spent most of their married lives. They had 3 sons, Daniel, William and Robert. Shirley was baptized in 1975 at North Richland Hills Baptist Church.
Even though Shirley spent the majority of her life in Texas, she never lost her UP Michigan accent as you could often hear her say “ruff” rather than “roof” and stockings for socks and short pants for shorts. Shirley painted oil paintings which turned into her love for all things ceramics. She sewed the boys Halloween
costumes when they were little, knitted blankets, worked jigsaw puzzles but most of all she loved playing Mexican Train at family game night at Roberts house. She loved her family and would do anything for them including bringing food over when needed, pet sitting and always making sure that holidays were full of
laughter, presents and lots of good food.
Shirley sadly left us on January 31, 2024. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Richard, her parents Clarence & Beatrice and her sister Francis. She is survived by her 3 sons, Daniel of Hurst Texas, William & wife Pamela of Piedmont Oklahoma, Robert & wife Karey of Colleyville Texas. Grandchildren Ben Grant, Sam Grant, Michael Fink, Jeremy Fink, Nathaniel Fink and Kimberly Fink. As well as 10 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and close friends.
Viewing to be held from 1:30-2:30 on February 12, 2024 and graveside services immediately thereafter at 2:30 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034
