Shirley Sue Lovell

Shirley Sue Lovell, 83, of Grapevine, Tx, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 in Grapevine. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Colleyville. Burial will follow at Bluebonnet Memorial Park. Viewing and visitation will be from 5 -7 PM on Thursday, October 24th at the funeral home in Colleyville.

Shirley was born in Nocona, TX on November 18, 1940, to Chester C. and Mary (Roberts) Fowler. Shirley was preceded in death by her seven siblings. She spent most of her childhood in Chillicothe. She married Orvel (Red) Lovell on February 14, 1958, in Twitty, Texas. They had two children: Keith Lovell and Lisa Lovell Brown. Shirley retired in 2003 from Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District after 29 years of service.

Shirley enjoyed her church (Church of the Cross) and spending time with her family and friends. She would take the grandkids shopping, and to the movies. Shirley also enjoyed playing games especially with her many nieces and nephews that included dominos and cards. Additionally, she and Red enjoyed traveling with family and playing penny slots in the casinos.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Orvel Red Lovell of Grapevine. Her son Keith Lovell and wife, Debbie and daughter Lisa Brown and husband, Darrell.

Shirley had seven grandchildren:

Chase Lovell (wife Jessica), Lauren Franco (husband Tyler), Kendra Fletcher, Makenzie Perales (husband Alex), Meagan Wright (husband Tyler), Mallory Denis (husband Andre), Madeline Wade (husband Griffin).

Shirley had 11 great grandchildren:

Channing, Tony, Jaxson, Kylie Lovell

Lilly, Koby, Elvis, Stewart, Florence Franco
