

Soane Fainga’anuku Lino, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Mansfield, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him.
He was born on January 28, 1948 in Neiafu, Tonga to Onesi Fainga’anuku Lino and Melenoa Heimuli Lino. Soane was the former owner of Dateline Valve Repair Services in Salt Lake City, Utah. He retired from American Airlines as a Plant Maintenance Mechanic. Soane was a member of the Bahai Faith in Mansfield, Texas. One of his highlights is when he won the International Title Boxing Championship for Tonga in the 1960’s.
Soane is survived by sons, Sentituli Lino of Fort Worth, Texas and Dawnbreaker Lino of Fort Worth, Texas; daughters, Nancy Veimau of Mansfield, Texas; Olivia Lino of Mansfield, Texas; Marjorie Heimuli of Salt Lake City, Utah; Kelesi Buck of Mansfield, Texas; and Fahina Kelen of Mansfield, Texas; brothers, Salesi Lino of Salt Lake City, Utah and Siaosi Kaihau Lino of Bradenton, Florida and sister Suliana Fiefia of Bradenton, Florida. Soane is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Halakiumata Pole Lino of Mansfield, Texas; daughter, Mattie Finau of Grand Prairie, Texas, sisters Kelesi Matelau of Bradenton, Florida; Meti Wilson of Oelwin, Iowa;
Manu Tu’ufanga and Viva Lino of Tonga; brothers, Fine Heimuli of Salt Lake City, Utah and Latu Heimuli of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Services will begin at 10:30am in the chapel at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest following the service at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
