Vivian Sue Jordan

Vivian was born November 12th, 1934 in Eureka, TX to Lafard and Nannie Mae Coker. She grew up in Corsicana, TX. She was the youngest of 4 siblings, brothers: Junior Coker, Arnold Coker and sister Bernice.

She married Melvin Jordan on December 26th,1950. They were married for 60 wonderful years until his passing in 2010. Together they share two sons, Michael Steven and Dale, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was affectionately known as Mom, Momma, Mother, Grandma or Grandma Jordan.

Melvin and Vivian were local home builders, and Vivian was also the bookkeeper for the business, and had a very unique and complicated system. It was extremely accurate and redundant. Vivian was gifted in organization and detail. Vivian also had spent time painting yellow circles on bombs when Melvin was stationed in Utah.

Vivian had a variety of hobbies. She loved playing games, bingo, fishing, jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed crochet and knitting, and loved to travel. She loved listening to live country music and spending time with her friends, as well as good books and daily glass of wine. She loved fashion and jewelry, and enjoyed local garage and estate sales and was also so excited to add to her various collections.

Above all, Vivian loved her family. She loved family gatherings, and carried a family tradition of hosting Christmas Eve with the entire family.

Vivian is preceded in death by her parents Lafard and Nannie Mae Coker, her beloved husband Melvin Jordan, and grandson, Daniel Jordan

A visitation for Vivian will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. A funeral will occur Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. A committal will occur Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. A reception will occur Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
