

Wanda Green Cox was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Wanda will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of JG and Kathrine Green.
A typical teenager, Wanda had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Technical High School in Fort Worth, Texas in 1945. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Empathic and loyal, Wanda was committed to making her new family happy.
Wanda worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Wanda was blessed with two sons, Mike and Richard and three step-daughters, Windie, Kim, and Ashley. Another blessing for Wanda was the gift of one granddaughter and four step-great-granchildern, Tiffany, Samuel, Madison, Myles, and Mason.
Fortunately, Wanda enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Wanda worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Wanda worked at a bank and was very loved by everyone. She also worked in Real Estate and for Mary Kay Cosmetics. Wanda always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Wanda passed away on July 23, 2016 in North Richland Hills, Texas. Wanda is survived by her husband, James Edward Cox; sons, Mike Dean and Richard Dean; stepdaughter, Windie Cox Ketner and her husband, Brian Ketner; Stepdaughters , Kim Cox Hutton and Ashley Bosaw; Nephew, Carl E “Butch” Green; niece, Peggy Green; Granddaughter, Tiffany Green; Step-Great-Grandchildren, Samuel Ketner, Madison Loforte, Myles Loforte and Mason Loforte and a host of extended family members and friends. Services were held in Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Stateroom Aspen in Colleyville, Texas. Wanda was laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Wanda was an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Wanda leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. She was a majorette and very outgoing. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Wanda Green Cox.

Wanda was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Technical High School in Fort Worth, now known as Tremble Tech High School in 1945. She was a majorette and very outgoing. Wanda worked at a bank and was very loved by everyone. She married and raised their family in Hurst, Texas and she also worked in Real Estate and for Mary Kay Cosmetics. Wanda was very giving and caring to everyone. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kathrine Green and JG “Shorty” Green.
