

Born on November 15, 1931 in New Albany, Mississippi – the first of 4 children born to Condy Simmons and Hazel Merritt Simmons, Jane grew up mostly in New Albany and Ecru Mississippi. At age 17 she met her forever love, Homer and they were married in 1949.
After moving to Atlanta, Georgia Jane and Homer welcomed their first son Mark Alan Feuchter in 1955. The family moved to Texas and in 1959 the family continued to grow when they welcomed their second son Max Stephen Feuchter.
Jane was a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, and spent many years volunteering with Carroll ISD working concession stands and attending her son’s and grandsons’ many athletic events including football, baseball, & basketball games and Band concerts. She also volunteered as an election judge for several years in Tarrant County.
Jane and Homer were blessed with 4 grandsons, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson, many lifelong friends and extended family members who will miss Jane more than words can express.
Jane was predeceased by her parents, one sister Peggy Dillon, twin brothers Billy and Bobby Simmons, and oldest grandson Cory Feuchter.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years Homer, son Mark and fiancé Patti, son Max and wife Donna, grandchildren Cole Feuchter, Haley (Zak) Thompson, Cameron Feuchter, Luke Feuchter and great grandson Wyatt Thompson.
A memorial service is scheduled for 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville TX 76034. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
