Born on February 2,1939 in Muenster, TX to William Orval and Bernardine (Roberg) Malone.
William’s life was one of kindness, strength, and quiet wisdom. Through 86 years, he exemplified dedication to family, to community, and to the values he held dear.
William’s early studies included becoming a priest, but he made the decision that was not his chosen career path. He began his electrical career by working for Montgomery Wards. He then became a dedicated member of the US Armed Forces by proudly serving in the Navy. He deployed to Viet Nam in the Da Nang and Philippines regions as a Radar Operator, narrowly escaping some close calls.
Upon returning home, he met his beloved wife, Martha Jo Bailey. They had a beautiful wedding and married on September 9,1967 in the Holy Family Catholic church in Fort Worth.
William worked in the Contract Management Division for Bell Helicopter. Furthermore, he served as City Councilman for the city of Keller, TX for approximately 2 years.
As a man of many talents, he enjoyed building model military aircraft, coached a boys baseball team (as baseball was close to his heart) and loved his University of Alabama Football!
He will be remembered most for being a solid rutter in an open ocean and the one where advice was given only when sought. A shoulder for tears during the most dire of times providing comfort when none could be found.
He is survived by his sister, Ruth Ann Malone, multiple nieces, a nephew and other beloved family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Martha Bailey Malone, and his brother, Richard Dennis Malone, and his sister, Arleen Kay (Malone) Register. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the memories that will forever warm our hearts.
A celebration of William’s life will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, TX on Friday, July 18th, 2025, at 10am, where friends and family will gather to honor a man whose presence was a gift.
"In a world that often drifts with the tide, he was our compass—steady, silent, and true, guiding others not by force but by example."
An Irish Proverb:
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves memories no one can steal
A graveside service for Bill will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
