

William Presley Martin passed away on July 23rd, 2020 in Trophy Club, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was "Bill" to many friends. He was also affectionately known as "Sonny" to many, mostly family and his wife. He was "Dad" to his two girls and he was "Grandad" to his grandkids.
He was born on March 13th, 1937 to Preston and Colleen Martin. The family eventually moved to Odessa, Texas, where he graduated from Odessa High School and met his wife, Rodna. He raised his family in Irving, Texas, while working as a mechanical engineer for General Electric. He liked reading, sports, golfing, skiing, and Corvettes, but he enjoyed doin things for his family the most. He loved his family with a deep and constant selflessness, and all who knew him remember the way he served others above himself.
Bill is survived by his two sister, Janiece Paulson and Sherry Gaillard of Alabaster, Alabama; his daughter Melany Ash of Trophy Club, Texas; his daughter Tamra Sanchez of Fort Worth, Texas; and his grandchildren, David Hernandez, Avery Ash, and Riley Ash.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rodna.
Visitation will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 30th, 2020 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park with a reception to follow in the Hospitality Room of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
