Ann Vaught

Ann Vaught, 86, of Barton, MS, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016. Mrs. Vaught was a long time member of Germantown Baptist Church and was a current member of Covenant Baptist Church. She retired after over 30 years as the one time longest tenured employee of Germantown Baptist Church in the childcare department. She continued to assist with childcare in her current church as well. Mrs. Vaught is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Mr. Charles John Vaught, Jr, her children, June Snyder, Charles John “Jack” Vaught, III, Steve Vaught, Beverly Knecht, Scott Vaught, and Gloria Burson, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Jackie Carmichael. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 7-8pm at Collierville Funeral Home and the funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 4pm at Covenant Baptist Church, 3170 Old Houston Levee Rd. Germantown, TN 38139. Interment will take place Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10:45am at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Memphis Union Mission.
