Arthur Baird Hamm

Arthur Baird Hamm, age 83, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Arthur was born April 20, 1937 in Dyersburg, TN to the late Reuben and Hazel Hopper Hamm.

Mr. Hamm served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1979. After retiring from the USAF he served with the United States Corp of Engineers at the Ensley Engineer Yard from 1979 until retirement in 2019.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years; Hiroko M. Hamm, a sister; Sandra Youngblood, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his Corp of Engineers family of the Memphis District at the Ensley Engineer Yard, shops unit.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Neta Kenney and brothers; Billy, Tommy and Reuben Hamm, Jr.

A committal service for Arthur will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill - Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
