Charles David "Dave" Salisbury

C. David Salisbury, 72, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015. He was born in Martin, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda; children, David (Rebecca) Salisbury of Litchfield Park, AZ; Deborah (Alan) Carey of Germantown, TN; four grandchildren, Theodore and Quentin Salisbury, Madison and Taylor Carey, his brother Ron Blackburn (Pam) of Winchester, Kentucky, sister Donna Griffey (Randell) of Roann, Indiana, sister-in-law Carol Reese of Durham, NC, niece Carole Oldham (Larry) of Newburgh, Indiana and nephew Dean Blackburn (Michelle) of Winchester, Kentucky. Dave served in the Navy for four years and then received his BA in Accounting from Bowling Green State University. He and his family moved to Miami, Florida in 1975. After practicing accounting in Miami, Dave and his wife owned a successful printing business for over 17 years. When he retired, Dave and Linda moved north to Collierville, Tennessee. Dave had a gregarious personality and an infectious smile. Dave was very involved in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives and was a Rotarian for over 25 years. In Collierville, he was a member of Collierville Rotary, Collierville Education Foundation, and Collierville Coffee Club. Friends and family will gather at Collierville Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 29 at 9:30 a.m. until Memorial Service at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Herb Kosten Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
