Ewing Lee "Chip" Hurdle Jr.

Ewing L. “Chip” Hurdle, Jr. was received in heaven on May 31, 2023. Chip lived an abundant life with his wife, family, and friends. He was so loved by many and a gentle soul. Chip always told the best stories of his life, Collierville history, Harley ventures, hunting and was always entertaining and teaching. His passion was his Harley and traveled around the US and received the coveted “Iron Butt” award. He had a great love for our Lord and emulated God’s light with his loving, kind, and gentle ways. He was a loving and loyal husband to his wife of 33 years, a great father to Brandon and Anna Marie, and grandfather (POPS) to Jackson and Bella.

Chip was preceded in death by his parents, Ewing L “Skinny” Hurdle, Sr, Nelle Marie, and his beloved nanny Emma Fitzpatrick.

He leaves his wife Catherine (Cathy) Hurdle, son Brandon Connell, daughter Anna Marie Hurdle, sisters Marilyn Walker, Leah Jo Reusche’, Delle Judge, Nelle Baran, daughter in law Kristina Connell and Jackson and Bella Connell, his loved grandchildren.

We will miss his hugs, kisses, and stories. May you rest in peace in our Lord’s heavenly kingdom.
