Gwendolyn White Lyons, 75, of Rossville, passed from this life, Tuesday, August 19th, 2014. She was born January 20, 1939 in Athens, LA, to the late William Eldridge and Lucille Franks White. Gwendolyn was a retired school teacher of 36 years who loved teaching first grade. She was a member of Collierville First Baptist Church, enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening and especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, David A. Lyons, 2 daughters, Molly Ann Lyons Collette, Kathryn Lyons Jackson (Randy); a sister, Maribeth White Anderson (Andy); a brother, Arnold Ray White (Deborah); 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 10am Friday at Collierville First Baptist Church.
