Hellen Berniece Lax

Hellen Berniece Lax, 84, of Collierville, passed away February 4, 2016. Mrs. Lax was retired from Troxel Manufacturing in Moscow, TN and was a member of Collierville First Baptist Church. She loved working in her garden and loved having her family and friends around her, especially at her home on holidays. Mrs. Lax was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Billy M. Lax, her grandson, Nathan Sides, two sisters, Elizabeth Chrisp, of Moscow, TN, and Virginia Ann Lax, of Tampa, FL, and one brother, Bill Brown, of Memphis, TN. She is survived by her children, Wilder Lax (Beverly), Gene Lax (Phyllis), and Mildred Webb (Joe), three sisters, Josie May Inzirillo, Margaret Tippitt, and Rosemary Hunt, two brothers, Otis Brown, and Boyd Brown, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. Visitation will be held Saturday February 6, 2016 from 5-8pm and the funeral service will be held on Sunday February 7, 2016 at 2pm, all at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 W. Poplar Ave. Collierville. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery
