I was truly saddened when dad and Jan called with the news that Mr. Lewis had passed.  I find comfort in knowing he is in a better place. Mrs. Deen, Pete, Mark and Sqeak you are all in my prayers. 

Lewis Crawford…met this man as a young boy (1st Grade)….78 years forward we paid our respects last Friday.  Only want to say to Lewis’s Family & Friends I have never met a better man than Lewis Crawford.  In time from 1st to 12th Grade we were close friends, double dated, worked at same businesses, worked on cars, helped friends go faster…took a new 55 Chevrolet & made it a class winner Halls, TN.  His 1st Motorcycle was a BSA & it was fast.  He went to Memphis Police Department & guess what…after 2 years 2 months & 10 days in Army Security Agency in Alaska I came home & followed him for the last time into the business world...YES, Memphis Police Department where we both retired approximately 25 years later.  His name is on my new flag out front…I had just attached it when Jan’s phone rang Saturday with the sad news of his passing & my name will be put on same when I go.  My boys will see to all this.  Lewis has gone out of a fallen world and into a glorious Heaven & I talk to him every day/night.  He would want us all to meet him there.  GOD BLESS!

What a great man, he loved his friends and family. Served his community with pride and dignity & raised God loving children. He will be missed and remembered in honored as our dear friend. Prayers for the family. God Speed my friend.

Loved my uncle Lewis .. He was so giving and loving such a blessing to our family .. I will miss his sweet smile .. and kind words !! Always  concerned about others . Love and miss him!!

Sending thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Dean for her loss. I will always remember Mr. Lewis from the summers I spent at my grandmothers home. 

One of the finest men you will ever meet. He would do anything,
for any body, anytime, and would not ask for anything in return.
I just hope and pray that He knows just how many people's
lives that he has touched. He will be missed and loved by so
many people. Till we meet again, GO REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND.
P.S.    When you hear that I am coming, try to get us a early tee time.
