James Emmert Sparkman, age 85, of Lamar, Mississippi formerly of Collierville, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Mr. Sparkman was born April 20, 1939 in Somerville, TN to the late James Webb and Ruby Norlaine Emmert Sparkman.

Jimmy was a retired manager with Harcros Chemical Co. and was a member of the Kirk Christian Church in Collierville. Mr. Sparkman coached Shelby Youth Sports and Softball for many years in Collierville.

He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Shirley Williams Sparkman. Two sons; Danny Sparkman and Dennis Sparkman. Seven grandchildren; Stephanie, Chelsea, Danielle, Sydney, Raelin, Bryce and Blaine and two great grandchildren; Hayden and Aubrey.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter; Debora Sparkman and a son; David Sparkman.
