Julia was born on March 17, 1958, in Memphis, TN to Shirley Cardwell and the late Thomas Cardwell. She attended the University of Memphis and was a member of the Pom dance team. Julia was a retired FedEx Senior Government Sales Executive who excelled in her career handling government accounts including the White House and Pentagon and made many lasting relationships with colleagues and clients.
Julia's greatest accomplishment was her six children, whom she loved dearly and was immensely proud. She was a devoted mother and worked tirelessly to provide for them. Julia’s children were her shining crown and she loved to talk about them and all their accomplishments as well as her beautiful grandchildren. She was devoted to Jesus and making sure that everyone she met knew about Him and His love and grace. She was a bright and bubbly light that shined for others to see. Her laughter was contagious, and she made sure to always find time for her loved ones, sick family members and others in need.
Julia enjoyed attending church and participating in various church-related activities. Julia was full of personality and had such enthusiasm and passion for life. She loved to connect with people and fight for a cause. She was very involved and volunteered in rescuing children from human trafficking. Julia loved children and babies with all her heart and was lovingly referred to as Memaw by all her grandchildren and bonus grandchildren God gave her throughout the years. She spent the last several years in Hawaii, soaking in the sun and dancing under the Island stars.
Julia will be deeply missed by her beloved mother, sister, children, grandchildren, aunts, and cousins but her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her children Lee Danley II (Sanna), Liesl Danley, Leah McHugh, Leal Danley, John Crowe (Melissa), Christian Crowe (Viviana), grandchildren Delaney Danley, Anden Quinn, Anniston Jones, Elliette Jones, Bella McHugh, Blaine McHugh, Christian Crowe Jr., and bonus grandchildren Haley Jones, Preston Jones, Nikki McHugh, Becca McHugh, Barrett McHugh, Cameron Durst, Dylan Durst, Tanner Cheeseman, Victoria Teders, Ethan Teders, Leah Luna, Naela Luna, her mother Shirley Cardwell, sister June Cardwell, and friend Ted Beitel.
